SALERNO, THE FIRST RIENERGY PLANT THAT TREATS BUFFALO WASTEWATER IS ACTIVE

The second plant in Albanella is also underway, with investments in total of 60 million. The production of biomethane and biofertilizers is planned

The necessary testing phase has been carried out since last February 12 in the plant developed by Rienergy E.S.Co. and carried out by Bionergyserre in Serre, in the province of Salerno, the activity of transforming the wastewater of buffalo farms for the production of biomethane and quality compost has begun.

As of 15 May, about 12 thousand quintals of slurry and six thousand tons of manure have been delivered to the plant by 50 livestock farms (mainly in the province of Salerno), with an average of over 40 daily trips. The plant has already reached a condition close to that of full capacity with a production of 500 cubic meters per hour of biomethane as regards the gas line, and a production of about 750 tons of biofertilizer per month.

To start the activity in the other plant built in Albanella, the Bionergy Albanella company is waiting for the imminent ministerial release of the identification number, after which it will be able to start the deliveries to the other livestock farms on the waiting list. The cost of building each of the two plants was about 30 million euros. Each, when fully operational, will produce 8.5 million m³ of biomethane per year and as many as 52 thousand tons of biofertilizer. The wastewater treated in each individual plant will lead to savings from direct spreading on land equal to 3,500 hectares, thus avoiding the risk of nitrate pollution that with the rains ends up first in the canals, then in the Sele and finally in the sea.

The beneficial effects produced both by biomethane, which reduces dependence on fossil fuels, and by the use of compost that enriches agricultural land with nutrients without resorting to chemical fertilizers must also be considered in the environmental balance. sydney sweeney nude scenes
